For its 2001 Ch Climens got 100 points from Robert Parker. Ch Climens second wine, Cyprès de Climens, was conceived in the same quest for perfection. The fruits of a second selection, or even from the first choice of grapes harvested when there is no Château Climens, it can only reflect the excellence of the first growth. Its existence is thus irregular too, even non-existent in certain vintages when nature does not allow for the production of botrytised wine
