In fabulous shape, this boasts aromas of loamy earth, mushroom, mocha, currant and plum that gain with aeration. Maintains its deeply centered core of ripe, plush fruit on a long finish. *Ranked #7 Top 100 Wines of 2005, Collectible* (JL)

The 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon’s aromas benefit from aeration, beginning life closed and austere, but picking up speed to reveal wonderfully cedary, black currant fruit nicely nuanced by smoky new oak. Medium to full-bodied and elegant, with admirable purity, expansiveness, and balance. (RP)
Notes
100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine is complex, rich and focused, with a deep core of black fruit and traces of briar and vanilla. Turns chocolaty and long on the palate with serious, integrated tannins.
