Extremely aromatic, with intense flint, dried lemon and white peach. Crushed stone, too. Full-bodied with layered and creamy tannins that show super length and depth. Exciting to drink now but will age beautifully.

The aromatics of the 2019 Chardonnay EGW are lifted with a hint of smoky reduction and offer notes of lemon verbena and orchard fruits. The palate is vibrant with fresh pear, green apple, and white flowers. The wine is open and inviting, with mineral earth, and its clean and polished perfume lasts long after the finish. It delivers a great balance between opulence and tension, making for a truly compelling wine. Drink 2024-2036. (AF)
