10/2019Dominique Lafon's home vineyard is always one of the most complete expressions of Meursault and the 2018 is no exception. Picked in three stages according to the age of the vines between August 26th and September 3rd, this is focused, weighty and very lightly wooded, with lovely harmony, depth and complexity and a racy, palate-cleansing finish. 11/2019The 2018 Clos de la Barre is simply gorgeous already on the nose, which delivers a fine constellation of apple, pear, salty soil tones, a touch of coconut, hazelnut, vanillin oak and a lovely topnote of white flowers. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, long and vibrant, with a fine core of fruit, great soil signature, bright acids and a long, focused and complex finish of great breed and lift. Good luck trying to keep your hands off of this wine in its youth! 92+
