This pure grenache shows depth and firmness with ripe-strawberry and floral aromas and flavors. Medium to full body, integrated tannins and a fresh finish. Bright. Hints of tar at the end. Very polished on the palate.

The 2019 The Maven Grenache, matured 20 months in 55% new French oak, has a medium ruby-purple color and a nose loaded with scents of cranberry, pomegranate, blueberry, bitters, tobacco and bay leaves. The medium-bodied palate is chalky and fresh with restrained, crunchy fruits and a touch of oak spice lingering on the finish. (EB)
