1988 Altesino "Alte d'Altesi" Toscana

Founded in 1972, Altesino is a historic Montalcino estate headquartered at the 15th-century Palazzo Altesi and owned by the Gnudi Angelini family since 2002. An influential innovator in Brunello production, the winery introduced its vineyard-designated Montosoli bottling in 1975 and began experimenting with French barriques in 1979. Today, its approximately 50 hectares of vineyards span six distinct sites across Montalcino, with Sangiovese at the heart of a portfolio that includes Brunello di Montalcino, Rosso di Montalcino and several Toscana IGT wines.
