It is also likely to require quite a bit of time to be at its very best. Even so, the 2008 shimmers with tension, energy and polish. Lemon confit, chalk, chamomile and white flowers are all finely cut in this chiseled, super-expressive edition of the Coeur de Cuvée. The 2008 boasts incredible fruit density and structure, with distinctly mineral and graphite notes that develop in the glass. In a word: dazzling! (AG)" (07/2018)

Winemaker Laurent Champs has a reputation of making fabulous wines in off vintages (for example his 1997 was astonishing), he’s also not bad in classic years either! On the nose, subtle vanilla notes sit on top of a base of floral-lime-citrus. Oak plays a supporting act to the main thrust of acidity on the palate, adding polish to laser-etched fruit. Youthful and linear, this cuvée is destined for long and slow maturation in your cellar, as I expect the toasty complexity will take a long time to emerge. Super!
