This may burst with violet, spice and floral aromas from all that new oak, but the wood is balanced by the sweet core of ripe flavors (pineapple, pear, mango and mandarin). Opulent and lush, this full-bodied Chablis is at its best on the silky, mineral-laden midpalate, which is nearly flawless. Lovely, long finish. Tempting now, but should improve with cellaring.
