It is dense and packed on the palate with much intense, ripe fruit in round and immediate style, finishing with great length. Scavino's 1990s are immense, statuesque wines of exceptional richness and complexity. The 1990 Barolo Cannubi is a stunningly elegant wine with greater depth and richness than the regular cuvee. It offers a fascinating display of grace allied to considerable power and richness. The fruit's sweetness (from low yields and ripe grapes) is marvelous to behold. (RP)
