Pierre Morey established Maison Morey-Blanc in 1992 to complement his family domaine after several longstanding vineyard leases ended. Charmes holds a particular connection to that history: the Morey family farmed a substantial parcel there for decades before continuing the appellation under the Morey-Blanc label. This Chardonnay comes from Meursault’s largest premier cru, a gently sloping vineyard associated with generous texture and the capacity for long aging.
