Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2022 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Meursault 1er Cru "Genevrières" ((94-96JM), 96JS, 95TA, 94DC, (92-94RP), (91-93BH), 93WS, 92VN). James Suckling: "Beautiful nose of white flowers and lemon jelly. The creamy-dreamy front of the medium- to full-bodied palate doesn't let you move on, but when you do the interplay of chalky minerality with richness is stunning. And right at the end the wine's stony side and an exciting touch of grapefruit bitterness show themselves beautifully. From two blocks that are 2.6 hectares in total. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold." (06/2024)

The plot by the road is their first Meursault to pick. Half and half from their two plots, as there is much being replanting in the lower plot. Fine pale to mid lemon. Super refined complex bouquet. This beautifully refined quality continues on the palate, a little sandalwood note, a suggestion of verbena along with the golden yet fresh fruit. Nuances throughout but still with a refined generosity of flesh. The Bouchard Père & Fils Genevrières stands out this year! Drink from 2030-2040.
