Maison Leroy is one of Burgundy’s most revered names, founded in 1868 by François Leroy and later guided by Lalou Bize-Leroy, whose influence helped shape the modern reputation of fine Burgundy. The 1989 Maison Leroy Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru comes from the historic Hill of Corton in Aloxe-Corton, one of Burgundy’s greatest white wine sites and the only Grand Cru vineyard in the Côte de Beaune devoted primarily to Chardonnay.
