The 1970 vintage of Graham’s is an outstanding wine at its apogee of peak maturity. The bouquet is deep, complex and still vibrant, offering up a complex blend of cherries, plums, cigar wrapper, a beautifully complex base of soil tones, mint, chocolate and a topnote of orange peel. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, focused and complex, with a superb core of fruit, excellent focus and balance, a nice spine of acidity and excellent grip on the very long, impeccably balanced finish. This is an outstanding wine.
