Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1975 Rieussec, Sauternes (90RP). Wine Advocate: "Still remarkably youthful looking, and slow to evolve, this is a powerful, concentrated, and rich Sauternes, with decades of life ahead of it. Lemon, tropical fruit, and vanillin oaky aromas titillate the olfactory glands. Tight, yet rich, full-bodied flavors reveal marvelous balance and richness. It is aging at a snail's pace. Notes

Château Rieussec is a premier Sauternes house with a storied past. Originating in the 18th century, it was owned by the Carmelite monks of Langon. Post-French Revolution, the estate was nationalized and sold to Mr. Marheilhac around 1790. Over the years, it changed hands multiple times, including ownership by the Gasqueton family and eventually Domaines Barons de Rothschild in 1984. The Rothschilds modernized the winery, focusing on quality and reducing production.
