1996 Hospices de Beaune Mazy Chambertin Grand Cru "Cuvee Madeleine Collignon'"

We sold out of this incredible wine months ago, and during our last visit to Burgundy we pleaded with the negociant who sold us the original parcel so find a bit more for our stores. He obliged. The wine has a beautiful perfumy, elegant nose. Overflowing with loads of black cherry fruit and a touch of spice. Tremendous concentration and depth of fruit. Dash of pepper on the finish. This is awesome Red Burgundy! It received 94-96+ points from the Wine Advocate!
