Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1988 Domaine Maume Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru (92BH). Burghound: "A distinctly earthy and sauvage-inflected nose has now gone entirely tertiary in character with full-on aromas of sous-bois. Those characters are also present on the dense, powerful and utterly delicious flavors that are rustic yet have largely resolved the supporting tannins on the complex finish. This is really quite good and while it will not win any awards for refinement, there is little doubt that it's a Maume Mazis. I would add that while this has definitely reached its peak it should be capable of holding for at least another decade." (12/2017)
