Full, deep red. Pure, floral aromas of blackberry, cassis, espresso and bitter chocolate. Juicy and tightly wound, with a much cooler cast to its fruit than the Chambolle villages Aromatically pure and long, finishing with very fine tannins. Very different in style from the Chambolle. (ST)

High on the slope above Richebourg, Les Barreaux is a village-level lieu-dit in Vosne-Romanée. Anne Gros took charge of her family's domaine in 1988, more than a decade before this 2000 vintage.
