This is a solid, firm pinot with pine cones, bark, dark berries and wet earth. Mushrooms, too. Full-bodied, yet linear with lively acidity. Juicy, showing dried strawberries with salty and spicy notes.

The 2019 Pinot Noir Le Caprice is gorgeous. Bright, floral and nuanced, the Caprice is all class in 2019. Crushed flowers, sweet red berry fruit, spice and blood orange all run through the 2019. I can't remember a Peter Michael Pinot with this much finesse and drive. (AG)
