Made from young vines in Crais Gillon and the lower part of Chenevery. Glowing purple, with fresh energetic fruit, really lovely in the style of supplying immediate charm. There is no especial weight but there is length. Skilfully handled, with tension at the finish.

Based in Morey-Saint-Denis, this small family domaine is run by Stéphane Magnien, who took over from his father Jean-Paul in 2008. "Grains Fins" is its village-level Morey-Saint-Denis bottling.
