Vinous
03/2002Medium red. Complex nose shows mineral, floral and brown spice elements. Juicy and nicely delineated; in the gentle style of these 2000s, and open and expressive for a young Clos Saint Denis. This offers good fat and sweetness, and finishes with fine tannins. (ST)

Burghound
07/2005An explosive fruit nose and outstanding complexity distinguish this wine. Extremely expressive with good focus, precision, subtlety, finesse and extremely long flavors. There is good volume here and while this is not as big or powerful as the two prior wines, it's finer still. Delicious and much more in the style of the 2000 vintage than either the Clos de Vougeot or the Corton. Consistent notes and this could be enjoyed now or held for another few years first.
