Very sweet fruit of wonderful elegance, purity and abundant spicy black cherry aromas that lead to complex and quite finely detailed and focused flavors of developing intensity and length. This is extremely persistent with dusty, sappy and mouth coating but ripe tannins and while it's not quite at the same level as the fantastic '98 Musigny, it isn't ridiculous to compare the two.

Medium red. Exotic, sappy red fruits, mint and a whiff of game on the nose. Juicy and very concentrated; a bit shut down today compared to the Cras, but has lovely fat to buffer its firm underlying backbone. Finishes fairly tannic, but with terrific grip and length. Should ultimately merit a higher score.
