Highly toasted aromas of smoky oak, vanilla and very ripe plum, earth and spice notes introduce sappy, concentrated and forceful full-bodied flavors oozing with extract and dense structure yet the tannins are surprisingly fine on the superbly long finish. This is a robust wine with plenty of punch though it's not rustic or lacking in grace.
