NV Goodfellow "Temperance Hill" Eola-Amity Hills Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut

A brilliant wine from the old vine Chardonnay block at the iconic Eola-Amity site, Temperance Hill. This sparkling Chardonnay sees 30 months en tirage and was disgorged in March of 2025. A compelling balance of richness and clarity are on display here. Aromas of sweet hay, sea salt and grilled smoky lemon wedge, and all the charming autolytic character you'd hope for as fresh baked bread rises from the glass. The mousse is soft and refined, the palate offers early season peach fuzz, crushed slate, and ample saline with just a kiss of fresh mint to finish. (CP)

A new sparkling wine from Goodfellow, the NV Blanc de Blancs Temperance Hill Extra Brut comes from Dijon clone vines planted in volcanic soils and is composed of fruit from the 2021 and 2019 vintages. Disgorged in March of 2023 after 24 months en tirage, it has pure aromas of golden apples and pears, pie crust, beeswax, hazelnut and flint. The light-bodied palate pairs expressive orchard fruit with savory autolysis. Finished without dosage, it is bone dry with bright acidity, creamy mousse and a long, complex finish. (EB)
