NV Agri-Roncão DR 70 Year Old Tawny Port

Agri-Roncão was founded in 2001 by Domingos Ribeiro, a Penafiel native whose project centered on restoring Quinta de Linhares in the Vinho Verde region and Quinta da Levandeira do Roncão in the Douro. The company began commercializing its Douro wines and Ports in the mid-2000s and remains family-owned. For its rare DR 70 Year Old Tawny Port (L70), Agri-Roncão draws from stocks at Quinta da Levandeira do Roncão in Vilarinho de Cotas, Alijó, within the Cima Corgo. The estate lies between roughly 500 and 600 meters in elevation on schist soils with predominantly southern exposure, conditions that support the ripening of traditional Douro varieties. Production is based on a blend averaging 70 years of barrel aging and incorporates classic Port grapes including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Barroca. Winemaking is overseen by Luís Rodrigues.
