1988 Trerose Vino Nobile di Montepulciano

Trerose is based in the Valiano area of Montepulciano, where a mix of clay, sand, and ancient marine sediments helps shape the local Prugnolo Gentile clone of Sangiovese. Although the estate's villa dates to 1521, Trerose as a modern wine estate was established in 1982. The 1988 Trerose Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is very much a product of the old-school Tuscan era. Before international varieties and small new oak barrels became fashionable, producers focused on Prugnolo Gentile and long aging in large casks.
