2022 Tor Kenward "Vine Hill Ranch Vineyard" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon

I'd put the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Vine Hill Ranch Vineyard up with the top wines of the vintage. Coming from a great, great terroir on the western side of the valley floor, it offers a full-bodied, deep, layered, remarkably well-textured, and balanced profile, and you'd be hard-pressed to know it came from a heatwave vintage. Giving up beautiful cassis, graphite, darker chocolate, and subtle spicy wood notes, it has fine tannins, nicely integrated acidity, and a great finish. It's a "wow" 2022 to snatch up. As with most wines in the vintage, it's already impossible to resist.

Great texture, bright and beautiful flavors and incredible balance in this full-bodied wine. It’s juicy, tangy and packed with red cherries, blackcurrants, light sage and mineral accents. It’s a touch leaner and more agile than the usual Vine Hill, but so fresh and linear.
