Bid on this bottle of 2021 Ellman “Jemma” Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, the flagship Cabernet from brothers Neil and Lance Ellman’s family estate, crafted by star winemaker Andy Erickson with renowned vineyard manager Mike Wolf. Drawn primarily from the family’s 20-acre estate vineyard south of the Stags Leap District in the foothills west of Atlas Peak, Jemma captures the bold, lush character of this corner of Napa Valley. From the outstanding, low-yielding 2021 vintage, among Napa’s finest in recent memory, expect blackberry, cassis and black cherry layered with dark chocolate, crushed violets, espresso, lead pencil and licorice, with a concentrated, polished palate, gravelly minerality and a long, refined finish. A small-production Napa Cabernet built to reward cellaring.
