NV Guillaume Sergent "Les Pres Dieu" Extra Brut Champagne

he NV (2020) Extra Brut Les Prés Dieu Premier Cru is a pure Chardonnay that opens with breezy, appetizing, slightly floral freshness on the nose. Subtle vanilla supports creamy polenta autolysis and suffuses the scent of ripe, yellow apples. The palate is lithe and definite at once: lithe because there is such a gentleness and lightness about the wine, definite because the fruit is precise, taut and lemony. So much flavor for a wine that is so young and has had a relatively short time on lees is astonishing. Lovely, bright, lemony and salty. Dosage is 1gr/L. Disgorged: July 21, 2022. (AK)
