2006 Dalla Valle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon has put on considerable weight over the last 12 months. It exhibits aromas of melted licorice, creme de cassis, burning embers, black currants, cherries, and smoky, meaty notes. (RP)

The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon, composed of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc, is medium garnet-brick colored. The nose is a little tired, with notes of tobacco, dried herbs, and dusty soil over a raspberry preserves and blackberry pie core. The full-bodied palate offers mouth-filling mature black fruit and savory layers, with a chewy texture and minerally finish. (LPB)
