The 2019 Beckstoffer To Kalon ‘The Grand Daddy’ Cabernet Sauvignon is another majestic wine from Carter Cellars. This screams high-end Napa as soon as the wine hits the glass, as it displays incredible purity of fruit and sense of place that is second to none. It immediately impresses as it bursts open with captivating aromatics of blackcurrants, cassis and hints of blueberries that are wound together with graphite shavings, spring florals, gravel, dried exotic spices, tobacco and sweet oak nuances. The palate is every bit as thrilling, full-bodied and utterly seamless, with a beautiful elegant, finessed mouthfeel. That frame the gorgeous ripe dark and blue fruit flavors along with hints of graphite and dried spicy florals which continue to resonate all the way through the long expressive finish.
