Journée de Mistral crafts Grenache-driven wines in the Ventoux region of France’s southern Rhône, where cool mistral winds help shape the vineyards and keep the wines fresh and lively.

Château Maris sits in La Livinière, the first cru village of Minervois, where Robert Eden and Kevin Parker acquired the estate in 1997 with the goal of producing high-quality wines while restoring vineyard health through organic and biodynamic farming. Today, the estate encompasses hillside parcels around La Livinière and has been certified organic since 2002 and biodynamic since 2008. The Old School Minervois reflects that hands-on philosophy, coming from a winery recognized as Europe’s first B Corp-certified vineyard and long regarded as a pioneer of sustainable viticulture in the Languedoc.

François Villard is one of the northern Rhône’s leading modern growers, based near Condrieu and known for expressive Syrah from steep, granite-rich vineyards. L’Appel des Sereines comes from young-vine and regional parcels outside the major crus, where decomposed granite soils and cool continental conditions give Syrah freshness, peppery lift, and savory definition. The 2014 bottling reflects the elegance of the vintage, combining bright dark fruit with floral aromatics, spice, and the mineral tension characteristic of northern Rhône Syrah.
