Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Turnbull "Amoenus" Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon (95VN, 94RP, 92WS). Vinous: "The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Amoenus from Turnbull's estate vineyard in Calistoga, is fabulous. Exuberant fruit and striking mid-palate richness give the wine much of its immediacy and sheer appeal. Today, the 2015 is naturally very primary, but it is both hugely delicious and promising. Lavender, licorice, black cherry, crème de cassis and plum explode onto the dramatic, baritone-inflected finish. What a gorgeous wine this is. (AG) 95+" (09/2017)

Drawn from Turnbull's Amoenus Vineyard in Calistoga, this Cabernet sits apart from the winery's Oakville estate bottlings and reflects a northern Napa Valley site. 2015 was the fourth drought year in Napa, with small crops across the valley and a concentrated profile for Cabernet-based wines.
