2021 Di Costanzo "DI CO" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

“The 2021 DI CO is a supremely overdelivering Cabernet Sauvignon from Di Costanzo. Sourced from the Rafael Vineyard in Oak Knoll, at the base of Mt. Veeder, and Ferrogiarro in Coombsville. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was aged up to 20 months in French oak, with approximately 40% new barrels. Dark in colour and densely packed, it bursts with dark berry fruit, white pepper, and earthy undertones. Medium-bodied, it offers beautifully pure blackcurrant, fig, and plum notes framed by assertive, fine-grained tannins. Layers of dark cacao, tobacco, and cedar add depth and complexity. A ‘day two’ wine rewards patience—enjoy a glass on the first evening, then let it breathe and develop, revealing even more incredible intricacy with time—a really impressive effort, combining approachability with sophistication.
