Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) created the Légende range in 1999 to showcase the character of Bordeaux's classic appellations through the expertise of one of the region's most iconic wine families. Sourced from carefully selected vineyard partners across Bordeaux, the wine reflects the region's diverse gravel, clay, and limestone soils, with a Cabernet Sauvignon-led blend that draws on the variety's longstanding importance at Lafite. Guided by more than 150 years of winemaking experience and close relationships with growers, Légende offers a polished, terroir-driven introduction to the elegance and balance of Bordeaux.

2020 Dry Creek Vineyard "Hillside & Benchland" Dry Creek Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Founded in 1972 by David S. Stare, Dry Creek Vineyard helped spark the modern revival of Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley. After travels through France’s Loire Valley and Bordeaux regions inspired a passion for wine, Stare purchased a former prune orchard in Healdsburg and built the first new winery in Dry Creek Valley following Prohibition. He also planted the valley’s first post-Prohibition Sauvignon Blanc vineyard despite widespread skepticism about the variety’s potential in the region. Those early decisions proved transformative. Dry Creek Vineyard became a champion of Dry Creek Valley’s identity, helping establish the appellation’s reputation for Sauvignon Blanc and Zinfandel while playing a key role in securing AVA status for the region. Today, the family-owned winery is led by second-generation president Kim Stare Wallace and farms sustainably certified estate vineyards, continuing a legacy of innovation that has shaped Sonoma wine for more than five decades.
