Of the 1992 Ducru-Beaucaillou, St-Julien, Wine Advocate writes: "An excellent 1992 that reveals impressive concentration, this vintage of Ducru boasts fine structure, as well as an attractive berry-scented, floral nose. Rich and authoritative, with firm tannin, medium body, and a spicy, long finish, this impressive wine begs for 2-3 years of cellaring. It is a candidate for 10-15 years of positive evolution. Spicy red and blackcurrant aromas compete with peppery, cedary notes. Sweet, rich, ripe fruit hits the palate in a medium-bodied, soft, pretty style. A tannic finish does not detract from the precocious, flattering personality of this elegant, herbaceous but delicious, medium-bodied, supple Ducru-Beaucaillou. A very good effort for the vintage...
