This bottle had us confused: It's a 2025 Barrel Proof, but not at the 127.4 Proof that was first released on the market, nor at 127.2 Proof as what we call Batch 15. A call to Buffalo Trace confirmed our suspicions - there were "three batches" produced in 2025, and while the Proof Statements are close, they weren't exactly the same. It's an indicator that production volumes are going up, which means there will be more to consume. We're calling this Batch 16 because Buffalo Trace used the word batch. Until someone tells us to call it Batch 14.3 or Batch 14v3 or there is an official Batch 16 release, we're going with this. Stop thinking. Start drinking.
