2001 & 2010 2001 & 2010 Linne Calodo "Rising Tides" Paso Robles Rhone Blend Tasting Lot
Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2001 Linne Calodo "Rising Tides" Paso Robles Rhône Blend and 1-bottle of 2010 Linne Calodo "Rising Tides" Paso Robles Rhone Blend (93ST, 92RP, 92VN, 90WS). Of the 2010 Linne Calodo "Rising Tides" Paso Robles Rhone Blend, Int'l Wine Cellar writes: "Vivid ruby-red. Explosive, appealing scents and flavors of ripe cherry, candied raspberry and Asian spices; really showing its grenache component today. A perfumed floral nuance comes up with air and carries through a very long, spicy, sharply focused finish. As sexy as this wine is right now, I suspect it will be even better with a couple years in the cellar. (JR)" (12/2012)

“The 2010 Rising Tides is 39% Syrah, 35% Grenache and 26% Mourvedre. Dark cherries, plums, spices and savory herbs flesh out in this vibrant, juicy red. This is another racy, plush offering from Linne Calodo. The flavor profile tends towards the darker end of the spectrum. In 2010, the harvest stretched into mid-November. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020. This set of wines from proprietor Matt Trevisan was among the most impressive I tasted in Paso Robles. The wines seem to have a bit more energy and focus than in the past. Native fermentations and a generally artisan, hand-made approach informs a style full of personality and character. “An understated style that combines rich spice, dried dark berry, tobacco leaf and crushed rock flavors, ending up more understated and refined. Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. (JL)” (03/2013)
