Hudson is one of Carneros' best-known growers, with estate fruit used by a long list of top California producers. The Phoenix bottling comes from the Bordeaux-variety side of the ranch's portfolio, adding a different angle on a site more often associated with cool-climate Chardonnay and Syrah.

“The 2018 Phoenix, a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc, is gorgeous. Floral, spiced and super-expressive, the Phoenix is a very pretty and distinctive wine.
