Notes on the producer from Antonio Galloni for Vinous: "001 Vintners is a new project headed by Carmine Martignetti, Jack Bittner and Graeme MacDonald. The Martignetti family has a long history in the wine industry, most of it centered around their wholesale business in the New England area. Consumers in the area will also recognize the name from the retail outlets the family operated for a number of years. The Martignettis were granted liquor license 001 following the repeal of Prohibition, hence the inspiration for naming this new project." (12/2023)
