2020 Domaine Michel Gaunoux Pommard 1er Cru "Les Grands Epenots"

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2020 Domaine Michel Gaunoux Pommard 1er Cru "Les Grands Epenots" (93BH). Burghound: "A ripe yet still reasonably fresh nose has a vaguely kirsch-like quality to it, along with additional notes of spice, earth and poached plum. There is a lovely sense of verve to the dense and serious medium weight plus flavors that flash good power and excellent length on the built-to-age finish where a similar touch of warmth slowly emerges. While this fine effort should be approachable after only 5 to 7 years, it should also easily be capable of repaying 12 to 15 years, perhaps even a bit longer." (04/2023)
