Les Grands Charrons is a named Meursault lieu-dit on the slope above the village, bottled here by Domaine Vincent Latour, a family domaine based in Meursault. The 2015 vintage in the Côte de Beaune was warm and low-yielding, giving this village-level Chardonnay a relatively generous frame without changing its classic Burgundy context.

“A beautifully broad-ranging nose is composed of a ripe and very fresh assortment of pear, apple, acacia blossom and vague hints of petrol and hazelnut. The finer medium weight flavors are almost as intense as those of the Narvaux while offering even better depth and persistence if a bit less minerality. This is a terrific effort for its level and highly recommended.” (06/2017)

A Volnay-based domaine with deep roots in both Volnay reds and Meursault whites, Bitouzet-Prieur farms Les Corbins as one of its village-level Meursault parcels.
