Gaston Huët (pronounce the T), besides being the mayor of Vouvray, is a legend in his own time. His vineyard "Le Mont" dates back to the 15th century and "Clos du Bourg" to the 8th century! His son-in-law, Noel Pinguet, serves as winemaker, using only wild yeast, no chaptalization, and biodynamic farming. Robert Parker has called him "one of the best white wine makers in the world," and says of his wines: "These are the wonders the pure Chenin Blanc grape can produce."
