“Owners Jeff and Nicki Nelson established this winery in 2009 in order to craft restrained wines with no traces of overripeness. This Chardonnay comes from various vineyards in the Santa Rita Hills, and very little new oak is used. The nose has fresh, zesty lime aromas - it resembles Chablis but is more perfumed. There's a good attack onto a palate that's lean and precise, showing high acidity but no greenness. It's an extreme style but it works, combining a lifted intensity with a silky texture and a long finish. (SB)” (09/2018)

Chamomile, apricot, sage, crushed rocks and mint develop later, adding striking dimensions of complexity.
