Perched on Howell Mountain’s lower slopes, Dancing Hares Vineyard tends just five acres yet fashions two Cabernet-led Bordeaux blends. Roughly 800 cases emerge each vintage—mainly for Northern California—by marrying Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot from volcanic upper plots with Merlot and Cabernet Franc from clay-loam lower parcels, then letting the flagship Dancing Hares and its playful sibling Mad Hatter slumber 20–23 months in French oak (with more new wood for the top cuvée). The result is a pair of limited-release wines that fuse mountain muscle with refined Napa polish.
