The exciting Fusion Series continues on to its fourth expression. This is a blend of 13 year old sourced Kentucky Bourbon and three different mashbills all distilled at Bardstown Bourbon Co aged between 3 and 4 years. The old sourced bourbon gives the blend a distinguished character while the three young bourbons offer nuance and complexity. The four different mashbills and three different ages give the blenders plenty of room to work with to create a unique and seemless expression that both exemplifies the character of the Bardstown Bourbon Co and acknowledges the great work of the legacy producers that have helped them create this product. The three younger bourbons each use rye as the small grain in varying proportions - very high (40%), high rye (18%) and rye mashbill (10%). Here are the blender's tasting notes, "A complex bouquet of apricot, black cherry, and cinnamon meet the oak and smoke of 13-year Kentucky bourbon. Rich maple and toffee coat the palate and lead to a lasting, hazelnut finish."
