Rudolf Kramp worked some of the steepest slate in the Ayler Kupp, and the wines show exactly what people love about the Saar. The vineyards sit on blue and gray slate that pushes the fruit toward brightness and clean mineral lines, so the Rieslings come across as lifted, tense, and quietly expressive. Fermentations were kept cool to hold onto aromatics and the natural snap of the site. The style leans into purity and slate detail rather than weight, the kind of Riesling that feels built on acidity and finesse. It is classic Ayler Kupp character in a very traditional frame.
