Bid on this bottle of 2002 Domaine Henri Gouges Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Les St-Georges" (93JG, 93VN). Vinous: "The 2002 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Saint-Georges 1er Cru is bestowed with a fragrant and utterly charming bouquet, quite autumnal with decayed leaves complementing the pretty red fruit. The palate is flesh and sappy, certainly a more feminine and light-hearted Les Saint-Georges compared to other vintages. Gorgeous pencil lead and tobacco notes lend character towards the finely-tuned finish. Superb! (NM)" (10/2018)

John Gilman
“Domaine Gouges has clearly made some of the top terroir-driven examples of the 2002 vintage, and not surprisingly, Les St. Georges is their top wine in this year. This is still a very youthfully closed down wine on both the nose and palate, but a bit of coaxing in decanter shows off a very promising nose of cassis, black plums, chicory, dark soil tones, a touch of graphite, gamebirds and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and still quite primary in personality, with plenty of mid-palate intensity, excellent focus and balance and a very long, ripely tannic and still quite adolescent finish. This is at least two or three years behind in development than the 2002 Vaucrains and Pruliers. 93+” (03/2015)
