“The 2020 Memorious bottling from Domaine de la Côte is one of the two ripest of their pinots this year, coming in at a still very refined 13.3 percent alcohol in this vintage. The bouquet is consequently a touch more black fruity than most of the range in 2020, offering up a gorgeous aromatic constellation of red and black cherries, red plum, a touch of beetroot, woodsmoke, a hint of graphite, gamebird, dark soil tones, a hint of mustard seed, espresso and a gentle foundation of cedary oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, focused and complex, with excellent depth at the core, ripe, buried tannins, lovely balance and grip and a long, beautifully balanced finish.
