According to Wine Spectator: "Tight, firm and compact, showing a trim band of complex dried currant, mineral, sage, herb and cedar. Full-bodied, balanced and structured, ending with green olive and mineral notes. Best from 2012 through 2020. 950 cases made." (11/10) And one star from the Connoisseurs Guide to California Wine: "There is no doubting this wine's varietal credentials, and its ample, blackcurrant fruit stays the course from first sniff on through to a moderately long finish. A good dose of rich oak helps sweeten the way, and the parts are in place for a nice future, but the future is very much what this one is about as it is dissuasively toughened by a rush of gruff tannins, and we would not think about pulling its cork for another six to eight years."
