“The 2022 Syrah opens with mentholated freshness, blending rubbed sage with hints of incense, pine shavings and dusty blackcurrants. This is savory and deeply textural, with masses of mineral-infused red and black berry fruits. It comes across as nearly salty in character as liquid lavender tones and spice embellish the finish. A pleasantly bitter tinge resonates over a bed of fine-grained tannins, while an herbal thrust and notes of clove leave the senses saturated. In a word: spellbinding. (EG)” (12/2024)
